Founded by Roberto, a proud Corpus Christi native and first-generation Mexican-American, our company embodies generations of plant and lawn care wisdom passed down from his beloved grandparents, affectionately known as ‘Wela’ and ‘Welo.’

Our story begins in the lush landscapes of Mexico, where Welo and Wela grew up. Their deep understanding and respect for nature were brought from Mexico to America, infusing our family with a rich heritage of agricultural expertise. Today, they continue to share their passion through their own plant business in Corpus Christi, surrounding their home with a vibrant collection of fruit, vegetables, and medicinal herbs.

Today, Roberto is fortunate to have learned this priceless knowledge, making him exceptionally qualified to lead a lawn care company. At Island Cuts Lawn Service, we do more than just maintain lawns—we cherish and nurture them. Our passion for plants extends to every leaf and blade of grass under our care. We are continuously learning and expanding our knowledge for the best eco-friendly practices to care for and sometimes even remove, plants, weeds, and herbs.
